Surgical Treatment
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that involves moving hair follicles from one part of the body (usually the back or sides of the scalp, which are called the "donor area") to the balding or thinning areas of the scalp (called the "recipient area"). Hair transplantation aims to restore hair growth in areas where hair loss or thinning has occurred. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia and involves making tiny incisions in the recipient area, where the hair follicles are transplanted. Hair transplantation can be performed using techniques such as follicular unit transplantation (FUT) or follicular unit extraction (FUE). The choice of technique depends on the individual's needs and the surgeon's recommendation. The final results of hair transplantation may take several months to become apparent as the transplanted hair follicles undergo a process of shedding and regrowth. While hair transplantation can restore hair growth to a certain extent, it cannot completely reverse baldness or thinning.
